Kristin has achieved her Master’s degree in Counselling from the University of Hong Kong after holding a Bachelor in Psychology from the University of Birmingham, UK. She is also a member of the Hong Kong Psychological Society (HKPS) as well as the Hong Kong Professional Counselling Association (HKPCA).
Kristin is a counsellor with a passion caring for another person’s mental wellbeing. She believes that we are all different with unique potentials. She provides a safe and nonjudgmental space for clients to overcome difficulties and lead a meaningful selfdiscovering journey.
Through her journey venturing through the different fields of psychology, she has enjoyed interacting with people and learning others’ stories in order to help them get through life challenges. Her interest in counselling originally began with her work as a behavioural
therapist after completing her undergraduate studies. Having worked as a therapist has helped her tremendously in empathising with parents of children with behavioural, developmental and learning difficulties. She has now returned to her original goal of becoming a psychologist and counsellor. Besides counselling work, Kristin is currently working as a specialist teacher with students in Hong Kong ranging from kindergarten to university level with stress and anxiety.
Kristin is particularly keen to support people who are struggling with mood disorders and family and relationship issues. She provides counselling and coaching to individuals ranging from children to adults including anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship and family issues. She adopts a humanistic approach to her counselling, using concepts from cognitive behavioural, emotion-focused and art facilitation where appropriate.
Kristin speaks Cantonese, English and Mandarin fluently. She is available for those seeking individual counselling.
